Dr. Weird makes another attempt to place the bank module back in it’s building, and is successful. The bank president is mostly happy to see the bank returned, despite the front doors being completely demolished. Artificer and Helda go inside with the president, and Helda is able to smell the faint perfume of another person in the bank. The scent is coming from the open vault. Art is able to find her by sound and she turns visible; this woman is also made of metal and can discharge electricity. She is carrying a case, taken from one of the safe-deposits in the vault. Helda plunges the room into darkness, and Art is blasted with electricity.
Sage and one of Dr. Weird’s duplicates attempt to find the a missing police car and the occupants: two officers and Teletran. They are able to find a crowd that saw the car disppear, and track where Teletran ran into the basement of building. There, the trail grows cold.
Samus, meanwhile, returning from “dropping in” at Royals Stadium, enters the vault. A strange child also wanders into the bank. The heroes are able to stun the metal woman, and Dr. Weird places her in his dimensional pocket. They ask the bank president who the safe-deposit with the stolen case, and find that it is Dr. Crandall, also known as Omega Man.
One of Dr. Weird’s dpulicates spots the two missing officers, bound on the top of a building. The recount their story of the car disappearing, and ending up at a farm house, seemingly nearby although the officers were not sure. They were taken by the same group that robbed the bank, and dropped back off unharmed.
The heroes finally return to M7 tower, with the metal woman (still in the dimensional pocket), the broken device that Riot Girl dropped, and the body of Duplicator-X’s copy. Sage attempt to perform an autopsy but knows nothing of the subject. Art calls Dr. Morgan, a doctor specializing in the study and treatment of super-powered humans. He concludes that the duplicate died from being blasted by concussive light. The heroes find that this is the power that Duplicator-X himself has, leading them to believe there might have been some kind of civil war amongst himselves.
The case from the lockbox is opened. They find schematics for several inventions. They also find a disc, with a hole in the center, of unknown purpose. Helda comments that it smells like Electron (Mr. Sparkle). Art calls Electron and he arrives at the tower, he declares that the disc generating and storing a fantastic amount of energy. Art asks Electron to check on Omega Man in prison, to make sure he is still incarcerated.
Art hears a ticking sound from the next room, and finds that the device dropped by Riot Girl is ticking. Sage concludes that it is trying to send out dimension coordinates. Art places a field around the device to stop the communication, and Sage is able to talk the machine into stopping. They get the dimension coordinates of where the device was created (by asking nicely). One of Dr. Weird’s duplicates takes the device to the police station, and another teleports to the coordinates they found. The dupe arrives at a farmhouse that looks like the one described by the two kidnapped officers.
The heroes leave the building, to find the Rough Riders ready for them.
