At the bottom of M7 tower, the Rough Riders prepare to attack the heroes. However, the Rough Riders end up being just holograms, and proceed to give a preview of a song from their upcoming album.
Three of the real villains, Riot Girl, Woodman and Sage, teleport to the location of the “broken” device left behind after the bank heist. However, the device is in the police chief’s office, where Sage happens to be. Sage takes out Riot Girl with a mental blast, and the other two escape (apparently through the same portals they entered in). Riot Girl is taken into custody, and her personal items including her baseball bat weapon are confiscated.
An attorney, Mr. Modicum, comes to the police station to represent Riot Girl. He wears an outdated 50’s suit and hat, and speaks very deliberately. He accuses the heroes of infringing on his client’s legal rights, such as interrogation and using using a mind-affect power on her while jailed. He also accuses them of kidnapping Steel.
The heroes return to M7 tower, and focus on getting more information on the disappearance of Duplicator-X and the death of one of his duplicates. They contact and have Officer Amber Hain flown to Kansas City to try to get more information. Sage and Dr. Weird explore her memories and find that it appears that during the theft of one of the prison cells three months ago, the duplicates appear to intentionally miss the thief. They find that, while five duplicates left to go on that mission, only four were present during the theft. Finally, they observe when the duplicate assumed to be the dead #17 was attacked, he dropped a piece of paper on bright pink paper.
Three unexpected guests then arrive at the tower.
Samuel Troyer, an Amish teenager, comes to the tower with his father and a botanist driver. Samuel’s father requests he be left with the heroes for week to help decide if he is staying with the Amish village. The botanist, Wesley Merriweather, also declares he has super-power: he can become very large and strong, but at the expense of his intelligence.
Power Girl then arrives, in a jet, with her daughter Viera. Power Girl is going on a interstellar flight and requests leaving her daughter with the heroes.
Finally, Jake Donna arrives, claiming to be the son Electron never knew he had. He has lived his live on an artificial island created by his mother, Bella Donna.
The teenagers are treated to pizza by the heroes, but then they receive the call. Wesley Merriweather apparently decided to go to Worlds of Fun, and is wreaking havoc!
